Whether you are for it or against Healthcare Reform is here.

President Obama & congress passed the Healthcare Reform bill March 22nd 2010. Will this bill help us or break us. Will it divide the Deocracats and the Republicans more or will they join together, time will tell.

  • The Healthcare Reform bill will provide a temporary protection for citizens with pre existing condition and without insurance for 6 months. This will start now and continue through 2014 when insurance companies can no longer turn you away based on any pre existing conditions.

  • The Healthcare Reform bill will provide Small business with coverage that is affordable for all. This year the government will give a tax credit to small businesses, so their employees will have affordable insurance immediately.

  • College students can stay on their parent health insurance until the age of 26.

  • Seniors will receive a rebate to fill the “donuts hole “in Medicare drug coverage to help release some of the financial pressure.

  • The Healthcare Reform bill will insurer 32 million citizens who were previously without insurance by 2014.

  • By 2014 the government plans to set up an exchange where Americans can shop for different insurance plans across state lines for lower premiums.

  • In door tanning salons will begin charging patients a 10% tax for service starting July 1 2010.

  • The Healthcare Reform bill will start to fine uninsured American citizens in 2014. Uninsured Americans will be faced with a federal fine during the first year (2015) of $95.00 or 1% of their income, in years the fine would increase until it reaches $695.00 or 2% of your income. Having insurance is mandatory because with this Healthcare Reform bill comes affordable insurance.

  • The Healthcare Reform bill will not take full effect until 2014 but some reforms will enact in 2010.

  • The Healthcare Reform bill is now a law. It will not be perfect as we are not as humans, but we made it through everything else that the government has enacted, so I’m sure we will be fine.
