The Browns didn't do it flashy but they got the win against the Miami Dolphins in Miami winning 13 to 10 on a last second field goal by Phil Dawson. The defense did the job this week forcing 3 turnovers on interceptions including the interception by defensive back Mike Adams deep in Miami territory late in the game setting up the game winning field goal. On offense Quarterback Jake Dellhomme didn't win the game but he sure didn't lose the game played pretty well and managed the game and avoided making mistakes and costly turnovers. Now who would've thought the Browns right now would be 5-7 with winnable games coming up against Buffalo and Cincinnati a record of 7-9 or 8-8 wouldn't seem far fetched this season.
This Cavs team has to go see the wizard to get some heart. Its one thing to get blown out by Miami but getting blown out by teams like Minnesota,Detroit, and Philadelphia makes me wonder how bad can this season get.One thing for sure is I would like to see what Manny Harris,Christian Eyenga, and Samardo Samuels can do with regular playing time it cant be much worse than it is now. As for Lebron returning to the Q last week he kind of validated his reason for taking his talents to South Beach. And the sad part is the Cavs laid down for Lebron as if they wished that they could join him in South Beach. The future for the Cavs is to build from the draft and make some decent trades in the future because they have a good coach in Byron Scott they just got to get some talent on this team. Because who could you say the Cavs are rebuilding around which core player. To me this isnt one on this team and Lebron is not walking in the door anymore.
If you are totally sickened by the state of the Cavs just take a ride down the street to the Wolstein Center and check out the undefeated Cleveland St Vikings. They are 11-0 and ranked 31st in the country. Coach Gary Waters has this team going in the right direction. Led by point guard Norris Cole averaging 21.5 points a game the Vikings are doin big things.
High School Sports
I also want to congradulate both St Edward and Maple Hts for winning state titles in Football in Division 1 and 2. Both schools came back from big deficits to win Maple Hts coming back from being down 26-7 and Defeating Trottwood Madison 45-33 and St Eds trailing 21-7 and coming back to defeat Huber Hts Wayne 35-28 and which is most impressive both teams went 15-0 this season.
Well till next week be safe.
